The Fairs Are Over. The Factory Is Open: Visit Taotech's UV DTF Production Floor in Zhongshan

ZHONGSHAN, Guangdong — The 28th Cross-Strait (Longgang) Printing Industry Expo closed on October 28, wrapping up Taotech Digital's October run of shows — the Shenzhen Gifts Fair before it, then three days in Longgang with two UV DTF presses running nonstop. If you missed both, there is a third option, and it is the better one: come and see the machines where they are built.

Taotech has opened its factory in Zhongshan, Guangdong for visitor bookings. Not a showroom — the actual production floor: assembly, calibration, quality control, and a 10,000 m² crystal-label workshop that runs two shifts a day and has been producing for more than three years.

What the October shows actually showed

Across eight exhibition days in Shenzhen and Longgang, the pattern was consistent. At the Shenzhen Gifts Fair, the busiest corner of the stand was the 4-head double-lamination press with integrated foil stamping — packaging buyers kept picking up the same foil-stamped label and holding it to the light. At Longgang, where the audience was printing and packaging factories, attention shifted to the 6-head UV DTF printer: six Epson i3200 printheads, rated up to 30 m²/h, laying labels down in rows for three days without a pause in the schedule.

Both machines are now back on the production floor in Zhongshan — the same floor visitors will walk through.

Why a factory visit answers questions a demo cannot

A stand demo proves the machine can print. It cannot prove much else, because everything that determines whether a machine is still printing well in year three happens before the machine ever ships.

On a factory visit, you can see that part directly:

How the machine is assembled and calibrated. Frame alignment, carriage setup, printhead installation and test routines — done in-house, step by step, not outsourced. When something needs adjusting later, the people who built it are the people who answer.

How it is validated before release. Every model runs on Taotech's own production line before it goes to market. The workshop is not a marketing backdrop; it is where new machines earn the right to be sold. Problems surface on this line first — which means they surface on Taotech's floor, not on a customer's.

What quality control actually checks. Print tests, endurance runs, inspection records. You can look at the checks yourself rather than taking a certificate's word for them.

That the samples are real. The labels printed at the fairs came off the same machines and processes that fill this workshop's daily orders — over 1,000 m² of output a day, two shifts, for three years. Trade fair samples here are production samples.

The two presses you may have seen at the fairs

The 6-head UV DTF printer, Six industrial Epson i3200 printheads, rated up to 30 m²/h, on a widened honeycomb platform with a heavy-duty one-piece frame. It covers six label finishes — AB film, partial foil, cold-transfer, thick label, embroidered-look and domed epoxy-look — and is configured for batch and e-commerce volume. The 4-head double-lamination press with foil stamping. Epson-licensed printheads, rated up to 6.8 m²/h, with double lamination and foil stamping completed in a single pass, and cam-lift substrate loading.
